June 22, 2010: Beach Doodles
 
Ah, summertime and the living is easy... and sweaty... and sticky...
But people seem to love playing in the sand. From kids with their pails & shovels, to pro sand sculpture builders.

This dude likes to make huge crop circle like designs on deserted beaches.
Bet he's often rushing to finish before the tide destroys the whole thing.

I think all the sand in the dark part is scuffed up, like he filled it in with his big scrapey stick.

Probably a matter of texture, rather than a matter of moisture, we usually associate with the color/shade difference.

Well that makes sense. I was thinking it had to do with moisture. Still pretty cool. If we go to the beach today I may try it on a small scale.
