Haiti and their Pact with the Debbil

Pat Robertson has said the Haitian quake was the result of a three hundred year old pack with the Devil that the Haitians made to kick the French off the island.

good ol' Pat Robertson. He can see the debbil where others see a human need.

what a maroon.

NEW YORK (CBS) Pat Robertson, the American Christian televangelist and host of "The 700 Club," said that Haitians need to have a "great turning to god" while he was reporting on the devastating 7.0 earthquake that shook the island nation — the most powerful to hit the country in a century.

As Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive said "well over" 100,000 people may have died in the national disaster, Robertson took to the airwaves Wednesday on his show and said that the country has been "cursed by one thing after another" since they "swore a pact to the devil."

"Something happened a long time ago in Haiti and people might not want to talk about," Robertson said Tuesday.

Here is the video of this man actually spewing his shit. Some people actually record him spewing his shit and air it on TV all the time. Sick.

He should know, he is the Devil.

Griff 01-14-2010 05:34 AM

"true story"

I guess as the Devil he was there so we can get the story. It would have been an interesting scene. The Devil and his lawyers, Toussaint Louverture and his, signing the documents to remove the French... much easier than fighting a revolution. The French must have signed a deal with the Devil to have the misfortune of losing Haiti... after those Arawaks signed theirs and Chris Columbus signed his. Where do we sign to get rid of Pat, blessing in disguise, Robertson?

Seems like there is a pretty explosive religion thread in this.

He's crazy.

You think you've heard it all then more appalling craziness.wwjd dude

I certainly don't consider him to be a Christian. He's a bigoted fear-monger who doesn't have a compassionate bone in his body. If ever someone was working for the devil, its him. I want to say a lot of un-Christian things about this man, but I'll try to refrain. My church is having a fund drive to help the people of Haiti, and I'll be donating what I can when I get my next check.

I'm agnostic (meaning I'm a religion fence-sitter, I guess) but I hope there is some kind of afterlife, and I hope that freaks who say and do horrible things in the name of religion (that they hide behind like the spineless pieces of shit they are) get to find out how really horribly evil they were. I also hope I get to kick them in the balls/cunt a couple times.

Has there ever been a movement/organization/group, that hasn't attracted some evil, self aggrandizing, power hungry, greedy, assholes? Religion and government are prime examples, but anything that provides a platform is irresistible to those people.

Here's an actual Christian response:

Institutions invite abuse.

That what irks me. What if Pat Robertson actually believes that he doing "work" in God's name and not just consciously manipulating people.

Also, 95% of Haitians label themselves as Christians...

Exactly. I figure if he really believes in his crap, I want to know at some point he'll have to say "Holy SHIT I was a crazy shitbag." If he's, as I suspect, just an asshole money-grubber who knows exactly what he's doing, I want to know at some point he'll say "Holy SHIT, you guys knew all along I was an evil shitbag...I thought most of you fell for my crap?"

Then come the ball-kicking ceremonies.

I tend to believe that he does believe it.
