Jan 3, 2010: Naked Fish

In an effort to be politically correct by eliminating as many dissections as possible, and be able to see progressing
internal changes, these Jap researchers have bred a see-through Goldfish.

http://cellar.org/2009/seethrufish.jpg

Most people think of Goldfish as those itty bitty fish that don't get over a couple inches... or they feed to something else.;)
But these are really Koi (Carp) that grow up to about 10 inches and 5 pounds, so they don't need a magnifying glass to study them.

Quote:

Meanwhile another group of researchers, who announced in 2007 they had developed see-through frogs,
said they planned to start selling the four-legged creatures, whose skin is transparent from the tadpole stage.
Now if they can come up with transparent people, everyone could get on the plane without hassle.
You only wear clothes so nobody sees your skin, not your kidneys, right? ;)

Quite the opposite, we moved the Cellar and didn't leave a forwarding address, while he was gone. :p

capnhowdy 01-03-2010 07:10 PM

Skip it. It'd take too many to make a "mess".

xoxoxoBruce 01-03-2010 07:15 PM

They're bigger than native trout, Capn. ;)

Cloud 01-03-2010 07:19 PM

ho hum. There are other transparent fish. Now, if he could make transparent aluminum, that would be something. ;)

I heard that as though Scotty from the original Star Trek series yelled it.
