she's still fabulously wealthy and golden and beautiful.

just saying.

She's made that many movies? Really?

Incidentally, I haven't seen any of them.

I've seen How to Lose a Guy because of having teen daughters. It wasn't that bad.

I just pop in Almost Famous.

I don't care if she can act. I'd still drink her bathwater.

I haven't seen any of those. Oops.
In fact I had her confused with Kate Beckinsale. Never mind.

One thing I do remember is the movie poster for Fool's Gold.
It had been tampered with I reckon. She was carved into a really odd and unnatural skinny shape or at least the pose made it look that way. It bothered me that movie execs thought they had to do that to an already slender actress - because even if it wasn't airbrushed it was still a photo that distorted her shape. Either that or she really does have shoulders twice as wide as her hips.

Oh - found it:

dar512 10-18-2009 12:12 PM

If you think that's bad, have you seen what Ralph Lauren did to this model?

And now she's been fired because she's overweight - she's a size 4.

Sundae 10-18-2009 01:00 PM

Oh yes, I saw that.
Grim, grim, grim.

Designers believe that clothes only look good on size 2 women.
WHAT?!
That's like a vet saying he's only good at operating on duck-billed platypussies (soz, no idea what the plural of platypus is!)
What use is that?
If your clothes only look good on one size of woman, who is in the single figure percentage (excepting starving women because of course they couldn't afford the clothes anyway) then I think you ought to go back to design school and learn to do your job better.

But when you donate your old clothes to missionaries, for starving women in Africa, they'll look... mahvelous. ;)

I just started volunteering for a thrift shop, and I'm sorry to inform you that those African gals better fatten up if they want to look chic in our cast offs. So far as I've seen, the average size that comes in is around 16. Designers come from Mars. :eyebrow:

You forgot Raising Helen and Almost Famous.

I actually liked Raising Helen and the Skeleton Key.

The Skeleton Key is a good one for a mild Halloween movie.

Fool's Gold is good for a sick day on the couch.

I can't believe 'How to lose a guy in 10 days got such a huge score'. I didn't care for that one and I haven't seen any others.

Other movies with blonds you can hate:

Uptown Girls
10 Things I Hate About You
The Wedding Singer.

oops I think I own these.:o
