College Football Begins

Anyone else out there love to watch College football?

i watch closer than most.
i've got a couple huge upsets for tommorow.
its easy early on to find upsets as some teams are more ready than others.

both games pay over 4/1.

the first one's kinda silly as minnesota is clearly superior to syracuse.
the syracuse passing game should find success.
its the minnesota attack that is questionable to me, and it might be bad enough early on to provide syracuse with the upset victory,

the other one is virginia tech over alabama.
i'm not counting out alabama, i should don't understand why they're such a big favorite to win this one.....i think its up in the air.
it certainly shouldn't pay so much for the tech win.

Early season match ups are often one sided. There must be something in it for the little guys getting their asses handed to them year after year playing the big teams of the SEC and Big 12. Who knows.

Surprised to see one of the teams I like actually ranked this year. Still don't have high hopes for my Yellow Jackets.

...nor the USF Bulls. Sigh.

Still happy to fall asleep on the couch to one game, today, and wake to see another in progress. Good Saturday afternoons have returned.

Saw Navy almost kick OSU. 'Twas thrilling.

I heard about it, though didn't get to watch the game. I heard if OSU plays like that next week, USC will kick our butts!

smoothmoniker 09-05-2009 04:21 PM

No matter how you plan next week, USC will kick your butts!

Shawnee123 09-05-2009 04:24 PM

Noooooooooooooooo! Put 'em up, put 'em up! :)

Totally bummed my boys got beat by BYU. They have some work to do and now with the QB questionable it is hard to tell if they can pull off a top 10 finish.

Let's see, the last time you guys faced us (with your same quarterback, right?) you managed to eke out 3 whole points.

Of course we're going to crush you. It's what we do. It's why USC is the #1 team in the country, even if the east coast bias keeps the polls from reflecting that.

Trouble could come this Saturday when the Trojans play at Ohio State against a Buckeyes team no doubt tired of hearing about its recent failures in big games (including a 35-3 loss to the Trojans last season).

Just be very careful, when it comes to Ohio. ;)

smoothmoniker 09-07-2009 06:57 PM

Well, the good news is that 6 days from now, they won't hear about that loss anymore. They'll be tired of hearing about the most RECENT crushing from USC.
