July 8, 2009: Gocta Falls
Here's something you've not likely seen, or even heard of.

This is the biggest one we have in Oz, and it's only half as high but impressive. I have been there. Can't imagine what it'd be like to see something twice a high.

That's awesome.
I wish I could traverse along the ledge that interrupts the falls - I guess there would be a basin-shaped lake where the upper fall strikes it. What an amazing place. |
What a wonderful world.
thanks, bruce! |
I think its here.

No, no, no, we actually have two ways to really do it.
1. Bungee jump from the top of the falls in a kayak. When you reach the end of the cord, you simply slip out of the 'yak and let it drop the rest of the way on a parachute. 2. Base jump from the top in a kayak, using the oar to steer to the point of pulling the ripcord. I'm getting light headed just thinking about it. |
Speaking of hucking off waterfalls in kayaks (10m is the biggest I've dropped) the world record just got busted again recently...
