I've always been great...

But as of today, I am a great uncle! My nephew and his wife had their baby boy this morning. 2 months premature due to some complications but so far things look good. 5Lbs, 1oz 18 inches long.
His name is Thomas. :-)

Yup. His lungs are a little under dev. but he's breathing on his own.

I know I'm fighting a losing battle, but I think you should be called a grand-uncle. It makes no sense to me that your sibling is grandmother or grandfather but you are a great-uncle.
