New bbcode to embed widescreen YouTube vids
 

The [youtube] bbcode has now been joined by [youtubewide] so that you can post widescreen videos in a larger sized embedding.

Youtube maintains the correct aspect ratio in the smaller embed...



...but it's better to watch in the larger size.

Can you put in some javascript so the monkey at the top of the screen chases, catches, and eats Flint's cursor?

i think you should, if you have the technology, make the [youtube]tags automatically do the wide format, and make the alt [smallyoutube] or something.

That was a custom feature built into the board you were on, not a part of vBulletin standard, so upgrading did not magically make it appear.

I agree with the youtuber size thingie especially as that is what yt themselves are doing. Give me a night to make the change.
