That's a really neat idea. I've never made an animated gif before, and a tool like this would open that up to me. I envision making a stop motion animated movie with the kids' toys when I get home.

You can also make animated GIFs with GIMP, as explained here.

Here's a test with LJ's link. It's a little jerky because it limits you to 12 frames, so I had to remove 2/3 of the frames I took.

Interesting that the brightness varies. I put the camera in fixed focus, but not in fixed exposure. I'll have to do that next time.

Maybe this weekend I'll do something with the kids and stop motion. Use them as props to manipulate.

You can make short "movies" from individual frames in picasa 3. It is pretty cool, but the shortest pause between frames is 1 sec. It does have a much better cross fade, also adjustable, than image ready.

It's like the emperor's new clothes - I don't see anything.

It shows up for me. But I guess Picassa doesn't like hot linking.
Try this.

It's too big to attach here.

This doesn't work for me, never gives me the result. I used to use the image "morph" in Paint Shop Pro, where you could put a grid over an image and map out how you wanted it to stretch as it faded to the next frame. Pretty cool, but I lost all that on a hard drive that I didn't have backed up :(

Nice understeer on that third corner! The Stig would be proud.

I just tried another one.
