Need some help with Photoshop Elements
if anyone is good with it. I don't know why I'm not able to "get" photos. Just dumb, I guess.
I use it at work--clients send us photos. Single photos I have no problem with, but I've received several slideshow presentations from a client via email in .pdf, and I can't figure out how to work with them. I need to be able to work with the photos individually. I figured out how to import the slide show, but they appear in a lump. Can I separate them? Or, do I need to ask the client to send them separately in .jpg format? |
You will not be able to manipulate the pdf. unless you have the option in acrobat to screen capture it (the photos) which lowers the quality of the image. Just have them send it as a different file type and separately. Just ask for a copy of the original photos. (so quality doesn't suffer) I'm pretty sure you don't have a different graphics program on that comp right?
Your instincts are correct ma'm. It isn't a problem with Elements... |
yes, that's what I thought. Boo!
and zankuverrrymuch! |
If you have Acrobat, you can separate the pages of the PDF in that first.
I'm not too familiar with what Elements offers, but in regular Photoshop, you can open a PDF, and select which page you want to import...just sayin'. :) |
It came as a pdf. Please explain how to extract the photos separately out of the pdf. I would love to know the magic buttons. (I have been doing it wrong!)
Aren't the pages separated but the photos not? Or am I retarded...(yes I know)... |
yes, I have Acrobat. I could extract the pages, I guess. But I still think I need them in jpeg format.
I've been trying and trying to learn Photoshop Elements. It's going verrrryy sloooow! |

Note on page: 1 Readable images are extracted and imported into the catalog as individual files |

What version of Elements are we talking about here? I am downloading the trial version of 6 for Mac, because now I'm dying to know what the heck is going on. |

Yes there was a hint there about the images being in the catalouge in separate files (if they are readable). The chart means yes to PDF's and if you look further down on the page it clearly mentions..pdf's. How are you opening the file Cloud? Let's get down to the details here. Where are they saved? |

Well the whole thing sounds that stupid so far.
I was sent a TEMPLATE as a pdf the other day. Like everyone has that f'ing program. Response: Oh I created it in indesign. Doesn't your office have indesign or a decent design program? Thanks for designing that so I could create it myself in a word doc for everyone...ass. Yes everyone at the office happens to be very good with indesign which is why they are all event coordinators. |
Jeez, Elements took forever to download.
|
How much does it use? (too lazy to look up)
Nevermind. It takes 48 mins. just for me to save it to my desktop. Naaah! Just tell me how you like it blue. |
