Hey all you cool computer [strikeout]geeks[/strikeout] geniuses I've got some basic stuff that I don't know about and really don't even know enough to research on my own.

My work laptop has webroot spysweeper on it. I've got the sweeps scheduled and all of that jazz, but I just noticed that it says it hasn't performed a sweep in 87 days even though it has a full system sweep scheduled every single week. When I pulled it up and pushed the "Start Full Sweep" button absolutely nothing happens. I checked and my subscription is good through 10/1/08 but apparently nothing is working. No button I push causes any visible change to what I see. It says I have the most recent version. It says it is currently turned on. It just doesn't do anything. Any ideas? Am I wrong to believe that a program that doesn't respond to anything I do isn't protecting me at all?

Separate subject: I know the cellar isn't ebay but I figured I'd offer it up to the masses here first. Due to some technical difficulties last year I ended up with an extra laptop. It is brand new and I'm never taken it out of the box. I only opened the box to make sure there was something inside. It is a Toshiba that I bought in August '07, nothing fancy, 1GB, Vista, yadayadayada... I'm going to sell the thing so if someone in cellardom thinks, "hey I could use something like that", let me know. I'd be happy to drop 15% of any agreed upon price straight into the tipjar. Otherwise Craigslist or ebay, here it comes.
