Title pretty much covers it :)

Oh!!! It's Pilau!! Yea!

So, I don't see any Tarts in those photos. What's on Pilau's Holiday menu?!?

Griff 05-26-2008 11:33 AM

I was thinking busman's holiday when I clicked. I figured Pilau was going to the sheepdog trials.

Mmmm... Snausages! :rollhappy

DanaC 05-26-2008 11:43 AM

On the menu for Pilau's holiday:

1/2 a mince and onion pie
2 slices of Wafer thin ham
several gravy bone biscuits
2 tins Butcher's Tripe with chicken and gravy....
some cheese.

Onions are baaaaad.
Quote:

Dogs develop hemolytic anemia if they eat enough onions. I don't think that it matters too much
whether the onions are cooked or not. The quantity of onions required is high enough that dogs
can generally tolerate small doses of onions without any problem and moderate amounts of
onion without clinically apparent disease, even though there may be measurable changes on lab
test results. Cats are probably a little more sensitive to onion toxicity than dogs are. I can't find
an exact quantity of onions required to cause toxicity problems in dogs, but there are several
case reports of onion toxicity and they involve whole onions or sizable portions of chopped
onions (like a cup or more). I think that feeding dogs meat that has been cooked with onions is
pretty safe but you might want to avoid giving them the broth from around something like
pot-roast if there were a lot of onions used in the cooking, just to be safe.

Why does that sound so yummy? mmmm....Lucky Pilau! You just made butcher's Tripe sound good....;)

Oooh wafer thin ham...

Pilau seems to think that he's getting Snausage's, but I don't see it on your list. Curiouser and curiouser......Watch your plate Dana!!!!

DanaC 05-26-2008 11:49 AM

Don't worry Bruce: not much onion in a mince and onion pie :P

Sundae 05-26-2008 12:23 PM

Not much mince either!
Looks like you got the best of the weather there - I've just come back from a very soggy Green Fair in Kinston...

Glad to see Pilau looking so pleased with himself. He's a lucky boy alright.
Next trick - teach Pilau how to use the camera so we can get some shots of you on these walks. Then again - don't. You'd only come home to find your memory card taken up with pictures of dogs' bottoms.

I think that's a great idea SG! And I would like to add that I think Pilau or anyone should get a photo of Dana stealing one of Pilau's tarts for once. And sausages....
:D
Hands off Dana!
