Engaged! Part 2.
My son Lee just got engaged. We're having dinner with my parents tomorrow night so that they can make the announcement.
I was suspicious a few months ago when he bought her a very expensive ring that she happened to wear on her 'ring finger'. He wouldn't admit to being engaged. They wanted to take some time to make plans before they announced. She's a very nice girl. I'm not sure how much attention his grandmother is going to give the fact that she's not Jewish. On the other hand, of her 5 grandchildren, he's the first one to get engaged. Everyone else is single or living with someone. It should be interesting. |
Well congrats to him and her, and you by default.
Grandma will just have to accept it - love doesn't necessarily recognise religious boundaries. But all the same I hope she's delighted too. |

Wow, talk about a weird omen. I didn't notice until I was looking at one of my other posts, but that was my 4000th post!

Hearty congratulations!

Congrats! Good luck to them with planning (I have a crapload of bridal magazines, if your son's fiancee wants them) and good luck with breaking the news to family.

Glad to hear you like her. :) I wish them the best of luck!

We had a nice dinner out with my parents last night and Lee and Megan made the announcement. My mom seemed genuinely happy with everything. I took pictures, but I will have to get permission to post them.
