Mold, Fungus
 

Over in my BS thread, I told about going to graveyards. I cleaned some of the stones that were kinda black. Have been sick with a chest cold since.
I used mean green, scrub brush, only had 2 gals. of water to rinse with.
I'm wondering if I breathed some of the crap that I stirred up?

It could be the fumes from the cleaning fluid (I don't know what mean green is but it sounds potent). Sometimes those types of things can burn the little hairs and fibres leading to your lungs which would cause flu like symptoms.

Have you been to see a doc?

Mean green is NASTY stuff , it says Clearly Not to use on painted surfaces

Next time use Simple green and a brush , it is biodegradable

mold allergy?

I'm not sure how long ago your cleaning frenzy was, but up here there has been a nasty cold bug going around that lingers for at least 2 weeks. Red's going on day 9, with no end in sight.

I thought my friend Red (not Labrat's Red, this is Red McWilliams the Celtic performer) had an allergic reaction to the bleach we used to clean my freezer after it came unplugged while I was on vacation; but his doctor told him it was just a coincedental virus thing.

Much better this AM.
