Teenage Party Gets International Attention

Ok, on the weekend young Corey throws a bit of a party, which ends up with 500+ teenage attendees.

The police had to mobilise the dog squad, incident response team and a helicopter to try and settle the party down.

Quote:

Earlier this week, Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon lambasted the teenager for his lack of remorse and threatened to bill him up to $20,000 for damages and the cost of deploying police.

His parents - who also cannot be named for legal reasons - met with police yesterday and said: "We think he should be punished. We have our own views on what should happen and will discuss it with the police."

More than 500 teenagers spilled on to the streets, damaging property and throwing projectiles at police cars during the party on Saturday night.

The out-of-control gathering and its aftermath have attracted media attention worldwide.

Victoria Police had threatened to bill the homeowners, who were away interstate at the time, $20,000 in damages.
Since the party, this kid was said to be raking in the money from the media and hype.

He's been on the run from his parents who returned from their Queensland holiday early, but now the law has caught up to him and he will be charged with producing child pornography (compromising pics of underage party goers on his mobile phone) and creating a public nuisance.

Hero or wanker?

I wonder how different the aftermath would of been without myspace and youtube?

Heroic wanker.

Hero for teens world wide, wanker to parents.

His parents are defending him. Some authorities want him to pay for the damage his party caused.

He's been on the news and in the media a lot of the last few days. The kid is an absolute fucking wanker and he needs to learn a few lessons in life that his parents obviously haven't been competent enough to teach him. There's nothing heroic about his actions as far as I'm concerned.

I doubt he'll be convicted of child pornography. I'm sure they'll push it in court, but the jury will think about the fact that he's underage himself and taking pictures of his peers and so they'll find him not guilty. I'd lay money on it. Remember that the law is one thing, but the average person on the street will interpret it as another and those people on the jury will think back to when they were this boys age and they'll take that into consideration when they make their decision.

I think they'll give him some community service work to do and maybe a fine which his parents will probably pay, and next year he'll do the same stupid thing again.

He's a hero on this:

No amount of wankerness can counteract the glory of completely shutting down a scoldy tabloid "reporter".

Aliantha 01-16-2008 05:47 PM

Well for one thing ACA is not very well known for their ummm...hard hitting news reporting. I still don't think he's a hero. He's a spoiled brat who is so full of himself he can't see the sun for the shit.

Do you seriously believe it's heroic for him to behave like that, showing an utter lack of remorse and then trying to suggest that it wasn't his fault and topping it off with a statement suggesting that everyone likes what they see when they look at him?

I really hate to sound like an old fogey here, but seriously, he's just a representative of the lack of respect and responsibility shown by so many kids at that age.

He needs a good kick in the pants followed by a swift wake up call. He's obviously learned nothing from this whole experience.

Well shit, I hate to agree with Ali on the grounds that I will come off old fogeyish too, but I have said in the past that I dont like the lack of respect and untouchable attitude of todays *youth* (not all obviously)...he is the epitome of shithead to me.

ACA gobble shit like this up and think they should get journalism awards for it.

Aliantha 01-16-2008 06:03 PM

lol...thank god at least someone else thinks he's being disrespectful etc. I was thinking I might get slammed for that statement. Still might. ;)

That's my point. She was a tabloid reporter trying to scold him, and he shut her down. Good on him.

That was a master stroke. The perfect response to her limp scolding.

Who is she to demand an apology? Or, especially, to demand that he take off his glasses? All she wants is to allow her audience to tut tut vicariously through her.

glatt 01-16-2008 06:23 PM

The ironic thing is that she is one of the ones who worked so hard to make him "famous." She is being put in her place by her creation.

classicman 01-16-2008 06:59 PM

Lemme see - he's an asshole and so is she. Shes just sweeter on the eyes so she gets paid for it. I think they both are worthless in the grand scheme of things.

I must admit, I havent listened to the clip that HM put in...no speakers on my work puter.

She's a twat by association with ACA, but he's a fuck wit

Well as I said, they're not known for the reporting style.

My response is a commentary about this kids attitude. Now that he has some celebrity status, I hope he's made an example of for all the other little shits out there who continue to behave in this manner.

For the record, he speaks the same way to ordinary people (on talk back radio) as he does to the media, so it's no reflection on his communication skills that he was a smart mouth to a reporter.

regular.joe 01-16-2008 07:33 PM

Speaking as a Drill Sergeant, if I could get a hold of that little disrespectful, spoiled fuckstick for about two fucking hours.

Just sayin.

I'd like to meet his dad, and make HIM do push ups.
