From the Beatles, another song that 'changed' the world:
Love, love, love ....

And now that will be used to sell nappies in England. 'Diapers' to those without a cosmopolitian grasp of the world.

The original function of punctuation was to signal the rhythm with which written words were to be spoken. In this sense, the comma in this thread title is a critical element, without which the meaning is lost. It reads: "what the world (pause) needs now" - calling to mind the song lyrics that are not just these words, but specifically delivered in this meter.

I saw Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice. Once. Weak ending, even for a thirteen-year-old.
