Man meat

no, not that kind. There's this guy in the apartment across from me out on his porch barbequing.

IN THE SNOW!

WTF is up with that? I mean, I get the sort of "mighty hunter" thing, but come on. Is snow, wind, and 33 degrees really bbq weather?

Aliantha 11-24-2007 06:53 PM

maybe he just really loves BBQing?

Cloud 11-24-2007 06:56 PM

maybe he should take up knitting.

Aliantha 11-24-2007 07:01 PM

Maybe...but if it floats his boat, who is he harming?

I think we all do weird stuff that other people have trouble comprehending from time to time.

jinx 11-24-2007 07:04 PM

You're watching your neighbor bbq, and suggesting that he's the one that needs new hobby??

Just kidding Cloud, but I've got steaks marinading now that'll I'll be bbq-ing tomorrow. Even if it snows.
It's better than stinking up the house with the broiler imo.

Cloud 11-24-2007 07:06 PM

oh, I know. I'm not actually castigating him for it--I just think it's weird.

And I just glanced out my window!

And . . . okay, yeah. Probably not as weird as me.

. . . now I'm hungry!

LJ 11-24-2007 07:08 PM

I'm fuckin starvin. I could bite the shit out of some barbequed grub right now

Cloud 11-24-2007 07:10 PM

no man meat here. I'm eating noodles. Limp ones, at that.

:D

Aliantha 11-24-2007 07:11 PM

I'm eating beef and vege soup that I made yesterday.

It's very yummy.

I BBQ in cold weather all the time. When we lived in Colorado we BBQ in driving snow and wind on a regular basis. Man's got to do what a man's got to do.

Jaydaan 11-24-2007 10:27 PM

We BBQ'd our steaks tonight, while it was snowing. Right now it is -4C, so the coldest its been so far this year, but milder than this time last year.

Then again we BBQ at -30C, steak just doesn't taste right pan fried, or broiled.

crazymen!

Urbane Guerrilla 11-24-2007 11:15 PM

Hmm... it's cold... light a fire... not so very crazy, I think.

Cloud 11-24-2007 11:31 PM

not when you have a stove and oven inside, out of the snow, that cook perfectly well.

Sundae 11-25-2007 06:37 AM

Doesn't Buster bbq in winter?
And who's our Alaskan dwellar, Seakdivers, I think she does too.
