Angry at my husband

The night before last, I had a dream where my husband had asked me and the kids (including the extras) to meet him at his office after work so we could all go somewhere for dinner. When we got there, he wasn't there and then he called and was drunk and had forgotten about us. (something he'd never do in real life).

I woke up feeling so pissed off with him that I could barely speak. I stayed pissed off with him all day yesterday and just couldn't stop it. It was really weird. Like gremlins had entered my head and made me totally irrational or something.

Anyway, last night there was a bit of a do at his work and he was home a bit late, but not drunk and definitely not really late. We were all still up. The problem was, that because I was still feeling this crankyness, he thought I was pissed off because he was late, but i was too embarrassed to tell him it was nothing to do with that. lol

Poor bugger. I don't know how he puts up with me sometimes.

Anyway, have you ever had a dream that's affected you like that?

Yeah, but mine are usually sexual dreams about men I don't have that sort of relationship with in real life. It usually makes me nervous around them for a few days.

Yes, and I can't wake up.

dreams can totally make you see someone in a new light. it makes you wonder just what the hell your subconscious is trying to tell you about them. makes you second guess yourself.

for instance:

(here's a good example of a time where I was going to make fun of one specific dwellar in a really twisty and unexpected way....by telling you about a dream i had about them that made me realize something about them.....but, because of certain people's (possibly the subject of the aforementioned dream) reaction to that kind of thing, and the row that would certainly ensue.....I am refraining from said activity.) You realize, that now that I've said this much about it, i cannot post the dream (which would have been obviously made up anyway) because you would be expecting it....and it wouldn't be at all entertaining.

Now. which way is better? should I have ripped on the person, and gone for the laugh....or just ....not?

part of me wants to say that depends on how funny it would have been and part of me wants to shout STOP! my better instincts are leaning towards the latter :P

Well there's a big part of me that wants to know all about it now.

Send me a PM Jimbo. ;) I know you want to

Ummmm... no. I don't get pissed at my wife for make believe events.

Aliantha 10-25-2007 10:03 PM

I once had horribly realistic dreams about biting the dust in my clarinet lessons. (Two consecutive dreams on one night on one topic--the only time that's ever happened to me.)

My ex had a dream once that I was cheating on him. He ripped into me the next day as though I was really doing what he had dreamed. I was totally shocked. And furious that he was so mad about something that was totally in his head (and had nothing to do with reality).
