Highlander: The Source

A.K.A. Highlander 5

Anyone see it?

Cloud 09-16-2007 12:16 AM

yes, I did. I made sure my daughter recorded it for me, too.

I knew it was going to be awful--it's a Sci-Fi channel original movie, which all seem to be pisspoor (although their series tend to be above par). But I. Don't. Care. It's Duncan and Methos.

I agree. Sci-Fi really brought the franchise down, but it was better than H2.

As far as the two guys you mentioned, I watch a movie or TV show because of what it's about, not who's in it, although good actors and actresses help.

you have no earthly idea, do you? ;)

Drax 09-16-2007 02:31 PM

Elaborate, please.

Cloud 09-16-2007 03:32 PM

Oh, I don't think so. :)

I've always been a big Highlander fan. Despite perpetrating some of the worst SF movies ever on us, the franchise seems to be holding its own in people's imaginations.

You probably don't want to know what I'm imagining!

As far as the plot holes in The Source go . . . where is a semi when I need one?

Whoever does the casting seems to have a fondness for odd-looking brunettes. They haven't had a truly pretty woman on there since Tessa. Oddly, I saw the actess that played Dr. Ann on an home-improvement tv show--it may have been Living With Ed, because it was a "green" type show.

Slightly off-topic: I work with this one guy who is apparently a big Highlander fan. When he and his wife got married, they decided to take a new last name for themselves: MacLeod.
