That looks like it was incredibly fun Merc. Highlights of the trip? Where all did you go? I used to play rugby (tight and loose end prop), how'd you get to ref some of that over there? When is the rugby season? Are you sick of the questions yet?

Bullitt, It was a 13 day trip. The first 9 were in a small town where a fellow Rugby ref who lives in England hosted my wife and I (site unseen). They were so very generous! Wonderful hosts. After that we went to London. For the remainder of our trip we finishing with tickets to see England play South Africa. And after that a few days by ourselves touring London for a second day. The program of exchanging refs is an ongoing one with our regional society. Their season matches the US season but their weather is MUCH worse. It basically rained most days I refed with the exception of the day we did youth rugby.

Ask away.

Merc, you managed to choose the wettest Summer in England since records began :P Our weather is never exactly great, but it's been particularly bad this year. Usually the South is much more temperate than the North and there's a lot less rain there. This year has been a good year for ducks :P

Merc -- you have some nice pictures. A few of them could benefit from a little explanatory text.
