July 11, 2007: Man dressed as tree robs bank
http://cellar.org/2007/treerobber.jpg
A rather small image today, as it's a shot from a security cam. At first you think, what the -- why would a man dress like a tree to rob a bank? If he wants to hide from people outside, that's one thing, but to use it to rob a bank? Maybe from the drive-through window, but from the inside? Axlrosen sends this Manchester Union Leader story of a man who used duct tape to tape branches and leaves to his body in order to perpetrate his crime. Sometimes people are just broken, and to laugh at those people is wrong, which is why I personally omit the gent's name. That way it's anonymous, and we can say whatever we like about the dude. |
Don't laugh, that is his super power. To grow flimsy branches. If that is the only power you have, you would use it to.

That photo reminds me of something....Oh yea.....
Go to the bank then.... Make like a tree and leaf........ |
I wonder ...
did he rob the main bank, or just a branch location? |
From that angle, it looks like a tree dressed as a man.
But still ... why would a tree rob a bank? |
Oh, a bank? He thought the sign said bark.
|
he was waxing nostalgic
.

And the police captain was named Dick Tracy -- which makes the whole leafy disguise thing somehow more appropriate.
|
If a man dressed as a tree robbed a bank in the woods, and nobody was there, would it make any noise?

Ok, and Cap'n Tracy went on to say: Quote:
Edited to add: lol@ Spexx |
Apparently he wanted to hide from the cameras rather than the people present. Guess he didn't know they had low angle cameras.
David letterman had the ushers search the potted palms in the lobby, as a precaution, last night. |

Spexx, did you mean "dressed like a tree" rather than "dressed like a dress." |
