We can pussyfoot around all day, like limp-wristed, lily-livered, something-else-that-starts-with-"L"s, but what we really need is the final solution.

Zero responses so far, I guess I'll be the first. When you all leave, and go to your liberal only, and conservative only new forums, where you will finally find happiness. Please drop me a line to let me know where you landed. Lots of people here are interesting, when they aren't acting like children, and I'd hate to loose touch.

Hey Flint, thanks for the quote. I was enjoying the recursion when I wrote it.

I would have responded sooner, but I spent the afternoon trying to figure out what the 'something-else-that-starts-with-"L"s' were that you had in mind.

I just watched Dr. Strangelove for the first time. Are you thinking we need a doomsday machine?

Dr. Strangelove: Of course, the whole point of a Doomsday Machine is lost, if you *keep* it a *secret*! Why didn't you tell the world, EH?
Ambassador de Sadesky: It was to be announced at the Party Congress on Monday. As you know, the Premier loves surprises.

Will it be like a Virtual Waco?

Flint 05-30-2007 12:21 PM

I was actually stumped...

I considered "lilliputians" to achieve the alliteration orgasm; but that, I realized, wouldn't be PC, as it can refer to a variation of dwarfism.

Sundae 05-30-2007 12:30 PM

lacklustre?

Flint 05-30-2007 12:55 PM

That doesn't solve my problem: limp-wristed, lily-livered, lackluster: what?

That may be my favorite so far.

Spexxx, I thought it was too obvious to mention.

The word I should have been able to produce was: LUSERS.

(little lord fauntleroys would have elevated me to the status of utter genius)

(lickspittles would have been genius as well, with the "L"s and the "I"s in there)

We pussyfoot around all day,
lily-livered, laggards,
limp-wristed, haggard, bedraggled,
we stagger toward the plane, all work and no play,
shop-worn, and long-tormented stragglers.
While ladies yawn, we put our pants on,
the gong rings out for absolution,
and Flint finally finds the final solution.

Shawnee123 05-30-2007 02:15 PM

magnificent, HLJ! Here is a lame limerick

There once was a lug on the Cellar
Laggard and haggard and yellow
He threw lots of stones
But he broke not the bones
Just the chops of another nice fellow. :3eye:
