Fond Memories of the Deceased

I often one of the coolest guys I will ever know...

...not necessarily because I miss him so much (although I do)

...but just because he was on such a wavelength I can identify with.

...

I'm glad I knew him ... I still think about him all the time ...

...

I know that a certain lurker will know who I am talking about.

...

Isn't life a funny thing.

not sure this is responsive to your post, Flint, but . . . I often think of my mother, who died when I was about 27. I wish I had had more time to spend with her as an adult, cause I think we would have enjoyed each other, but she lived 2000 miles away.

I miss my Mum too. I wish she'd been alive long enough to meet my husband. I know she would have loved him. She was my best friend.

I often think of my best friend in secondary college.

A song will come on the radio that will remind me of blue light disco nites or a smell will remind me vividly of something we did together.

I have a lot of fond memories of my grandfather, like one time when we went to a fancy restaurant for lunch. He showed the waiter how to fold the cloth napkin into the shape of a mouse, and then made it "jump" out at the waiter, making him jump about a foot. :D

delurking...

I miss him too.... think about him everyday. He was a blessing in our lives... and is still with us. I love you so much, little brother. Thank you for being the cool guy that you are. :)

Welcome brattycake.

I don't want to intrude, but it's good to have you aboard. Any friend of Flint's is a friend of mine.

Full disclosure: The above affirmation, should you choose to accept it, will likely alienate you from a large portion of the population here. Proceed with caution. This message will never self destruct.

Welcome Bratty.

I miss my grandma. She was a funny woman, one of a kind.

I found out on Wednesday that a friend of mine from college died last week. I remember him cheerfully wearing shorts and sandals in December (he grew up in New England and apparently our winters didn't phase him), listening to movie soundtracks while he did homework, and having a nice conversation one day on the roof of our building after our arts group got back from a show (can't remember what show it was). He was a good guy.
