Friendship

True Friendship

(With none of that Sissy Crap!!!!)
Are you tired of those sissy "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.

You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this post-
just the stone cold truth of our friendship.

1 When you are sad -- I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you that way.
2. When you are blue -- I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile -- I will know you finally got laid.
4. When you are scared -- I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried -- I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused -- I will use little words.
7. When you are sick -- Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want to catch whatever you have.
8. When you fall -- I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.
9. This is my oath..... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask?, "Because you are my friend".

Friendship is like peeing your pants: everyone can see it, but only you can feel the true warmth.

(with thanks to my friend Sexy Little Bunny, who got it in an email from her mom, so I hope you haven't seen this too much)

I like that version soooo much better than the crap ones I get.

My real friends don't send me crap emails. ;)

I liked this one though. Very true too. Must have been written by an Aussie. lol

awesome. Love it.

I recently discovered the extent of a friendship. I've been close to Linda for a while now, but when her husband died a couple of weeks ago I realised how much I care for her. We've done a lot of drinking and plotting and putting the world to rights over the last couple of years, but sitting in her house the day after he died, with no need to talk unless we really wanted to brought home to me the closeness that's there.

It\'s good to be with my old friends again. It\'s nice how we just kind of picked up where we left off.

My friends are far more important to me than those related to me.
Some of my friends happen to be related to me, coincidence.
My friends are my family. Being related to me does not make you family, being a friend does.
Being related to me means nothing to me.

Aliantha 05-07-2007 12:55 AM

Being related to me means everything to me. My family are my friends. Besides my family, I actually have very few real friends. This works well for me. I know who I can count on.
