Is Hollywood abandoning Hillary?
"They've been invited to come meet Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic Party's new superstar. He already has the buzz, but can he bring home the prize?
Movie moguls Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg want their Hollywood peers to join them at a Feb. 20 fundraiser the three are throwing for Obama. The fundraiser represents a major slap for Obama's main competitor, Sen. Hillary Clinton, who has received financial support from all three moguls in the past. Their company, Dreamworks SKG, has contributed $47,000 to Clinton since her 2000 New York Senate campaign." Hillary's Hollywood Friends Switch Sides |
Don't count on it. I'm betting the "Movie moguls" will cover all sides and their asses. They're really not that different from other corporations.
Regardless of the dog & pony show the big boys are putting on, the lawyers/accountants/ lobbyists that actually keep the business running, will make sure all the contingencies are covered. |
I heard on NPR that 45% of registered voters (regardless of their affiliation), would refuse to vote for Hillary. Maybe Hollywood is picking up on that mood.

Don't be silly, Liz Taylor just wrote Hillary the biggest check she legally could.
Can't imagine why the Senator who was so hot to censor video games might not be as popular in Hollywood as her husband was. Quote:

Bush Clinton Bush Clinton.... feels like a downward spiral to me, let's look at some new families.

Hollywood does not like hawks.

No leading candidate this early in a presidental election even got nominated. Too many presidents are 'dark horse' candidates until the last six months.
If the current leaders end up running, it would be a major divergence from history. |
