Butterface?

This is a trivia question: What is a butterface?

Elspode 01-08-2007 01:10 PM

Is it the misplaced application of a pearl necklace?

Shawnee123 01-08-2007 01:11 PM

No...heheheee

lumberjim 01-08-2007 01:11 PM

one who needs a check up from the neck up, but otherwise, is hot.

Shawnee123 01-08-2007 01:11 PM

Can you use it in a sentence?

Shawnee123 01-08-2007 01:22 PM

One of our younger student workers brought up that term...I was surprised how many people didn't get its context. Wasn't that phrase around when I was younger (i.e. a LONG time ago?)

My guess would have been something that involved spreading easily. Except butter doesn't. And it's not the face that people hope to spread.

Am assuming here it's a phrase used about women. I will eat humble pie if I'm wrong, but it sounds derogatory and that's the pattern....

Shawnee123 01-08-2007 01:25 PM

MY pattern?

Clodfobble 01-08-2007 01:28 PM

I think she means the pattern of the guesses so far.

"She's very attractive. Every single part of her is attractive, but her face (pronounced "butterface")"

Sundae 01-08-2007 01:29 PM

NONONONONONONONOoooooooo! Not at all.

I meant terms given to people who are either hot or (usually) not, have an explanation not immediately apparent and a humourous although derogatory meaning are usually given by men to women. Women tend to be more straightforward - i.e. I don't fancy him.

No humble pie for me today! Just as well, have chicken & mushroom pie in the fridge.

Clodfobble 01-08-2007 01:31 PM

And I have shepherd's pie in my fridge!

Butter wouldn't melt in his/her mouth?
