3/28: Whale penis

This one's making the rounds, so for those of you who haven't seen it... an actual whale penis.

What isn't making the rounds is the rest of the story. Turns out this specimen -- or whatever you want to call it -- was "harvested" by a gent from Iceland who studies animal penii. And he's founded (the caption said "erected"; someone at Reuters had some fun) the Icelandic Phallological Museum. He has units from dozens of various animals from Iceland.

Well, everyone needs a hobby of some sort.

So I'm guessing that the unit is currently in the "stowed" configuration. So what does it look like fully deployed?

It's been a long time since I read Moby Dick but I recall someone making a full length coat from the outer skin of a Sperm Whale penis. No sleeves, kind of like a vest. Hey, those sailors were away at sea for a long time...

I showed that thing to my little brother, and now he wants to fight it. Personally, I think he can take it. Sean is only about 5' high, and weighs roughly 50 #s. Soaken wet. Come to think of it, I'll bet sean wold be the first person in history beat up by an actual dork. The puns fly......

I believe I saw a show on this. He has also rounded up a volunteer to donate a human member to the collection. It seems the donor is a 70 or 80 year old Icelandic version of Don Juan.
