Just spent a week with my family and another family that are old friends in a “cabin” up on Fire-Top Mt. up in the Blue Ridge Mountains (near the Smokies) in Northern Georgia.
This “Cabin” was built by an amazing craftsman out of knotty pine. Each of the three floors is bigger than my home. The photos do not do it justice (we were packing when I took them). The deck goes all the way around on the level I saw.
I could not see any of the other levels, but they are supposed to be just as beautiful and each has their own balcony.
All the photos were taken in, or around, the cabin.
I did get out some, but since I was in a wheelchair, I was unable to take pictures. The camera was very bulky to move around with. I will try to find a smaller case for next time. My family is trying to get me out more, to do more things with them and others (for the obvious reasons) now and will be purchasing an RV instead of renting, like this time. I cannot handle trips in a regular car any longer.
We are going to Jekyll Island next time. I can’t wait, less going up, around, and down mountains. As beautiful as it is… it hurts.
Some may find these boring, but I really like the stark nature of the trees.
Being from Florida, I never seen anything like this in person and found it quite beautiful and fascinating.
