So this guy, dressed like a pimp, waits in line and buys a Ps3. He then proceeds to take it outside and in front of the people waiting in line, smashes it with a sledgehammer. :haha:

Does Sony deliberately limit or otherwise restrict the number of these things it produces just to drive the prices and hype through the roof? I'm thinking along the line of DeBeers here.

The mayhem surrounding this release is pretty amazing. This can't be good for Sony's image, can it?

I'm not sure if its the same guys, but a couple dudes did this same thing when the xbox360 came out. They made a website and got enough donations to go buy the thing at launch and then smashed it with a sledge hammer in the parking lot of the store.
