My erection has been long and hard. For awhile it looked like it would get the life sucked out of it. It stands up for a cause, but can still get beat off. It's stated policy is a mouthful. It leans left a little bit, but stands tall on its own.

No, it's a Chinese election. Frickin' perverts.

We are currently being teased with our next election.
We never know from one minute to the next when our leaders would like to hold it, and when they just want to try and ignore it, hoping it will go away.

The trouble with our election is that no-one much fancies the candidates. It may prove hard to chose between a crowd pleaser with unknown staying power (Cameron) and an slightly tainted but experienced player (Brown). Of course I prefer a candidate with a bit of weight behind him, that's used to the thrust and power of global politics. But then I've never minded being ruled with a big rod.

I think our election may be a lacklustre affair, featuring mostly in the heads of journalists, although in the end the public may get shafted. However if enough of us prove we are unwilling to lie down and take it, it may come to a satisfactory conclusion.

We can only hope

I don't get to have erections, but when they come to visit, I don't mind how they look as long as they fulfill their campaign promises. ;)
