Justice For the Border Patrol

Hello all,

I'm a relatively new member/lurker. (Didn't post to the lurker post wasn't sure I qualified).

I was wondering if anyone has been following the case about the two border patrol agents that have been shafted by our justice department? Re/ Walter B. Jones is going all out in Texas to get petitions signed to have Bush grant them a full pardon. They were given twenty year sentences for what they say was their job. The gov't says otherwise?? A man smuggling 700 lbs. of dope across the border pulled a weapon on the agents and one shot back.

I've heard stories on the radio that say the agents were trying to cover something up by picking up the casings and not reporting the shooting immediately. The drug dealer was shot in the buttocks (exit wound suggest he was turned and firing at agents).

The link I found was www.justicefortheborderpatrol.com

Just curious what the collective minds here had to say. I'm not anti-marijuana but twenty years for shooting a drug dealer seems really harsh.

Thanks - me not in "good humor" ~ romuh doog.

It sounds to me like the Homeland Security boys cut a deal with the Mexican gangs to either win their cooperation or to prevent a shooting war between the gangs and Border Agents.
Either way, it's fucked up. If they handled the border properly, they wouldn't have to make deals with Mexican gangs

It's a shame they didn't kill Aldrete-Davila.
I'd also suggest, Rene Sanchez who was born in the U.S., raised in Mexico, came back to do high school and later became an agent, should be assigned to the Canadian border.
It's high time to stop this wink-nod border condition.

Bruce,

Thanks for the reply. I've gotten many a chuckle at your posts and comments. The unbelievable aspect is that he's been arrested twice again since this for smuggling and gets a slap, we take his dope and he goes back to the high canvas for more gardening. Even his Mother is in on the "deal".

Like my name implies I have a backwards sense of good humor but even 20 years for these men is just whips on an already open wound. :yeldead:

Hmmm...thanks... I think.

Is it any wonder, the mexicans have no respect for our laws....or us, when our agencies pull bullshit like this?

Compared to theirs, our are perfect angels. I think you can look there for the source of the disresepect.

Naw, party-ers out drinking and carousing in West Berlin knew better than try that shit in East Berlin. They do it because they can and are well aware of where they can't. :headshake

Bruce,

my name....romuh doog (spelled backwards) is good humor, I'm just a little backwards...not you. or maybe:right:

there is a link to the petition if anyone is interested on the justice for the border patrol link. They also have a link to FAIR. It's a web site regarding Americans who are completely fed up with the happenings in Texas.
