You might be in software development if...

My son goes to Mavericks. But, he's not a full fledged geek yet.

Why you can't find your System Administrator.

You've ever contemplated devoting a web page to World News Now, Kevin, Thalia, Bill, Shielah, Nissan, Okido, Asha, Dick Schapp, Willis, or, natch, Barry.

@Tonchi - Some time ago I sent Thalia Assuras (former anchor for World News Now) an email containing a link to "Seņor Z's" dissertation on the origin of the name Thalia as it appeared in Tcom! I sent Seņor Z a copy [Cc:] of that email and a link to a Thalia Assuras bio and photo. Seņor Z got a kick out of it. I wonder if he's still waiting to hear from her? :D

.....you finish one version then immediately start the next version by completely changing all the menus, selection sequences, etc.

....so that even someone that's worked on one specific version thousands of hours finds it easier to buy the manuals and transition guides rather than be completely unproductive for weeks on end. :tinfoil:

Well, the first one is a hoot because I actually do have a spreadsheet that runs on my watch.

The second one cracks me up, last panel especially. We had both engineers and business students with us in China, but all the speakers were engineers who of course talked about things that made perfect sense to us but baffled the hell out of the MBA's. When we were leaving one of the meetings in which the speaker had put a great deal of emphasis on China's industry updating to ISO-9001 standards one of them(MBA) said to me "someone should tell that guy that if they really want to be compatible with the U.S. they should just skip that and run Windows".:D Of course, I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry.

Nope, we'd have to pay her. Maybe we need to start a fund for that, it might take a while to raise enough.
