Two Kochi nomads ride camels during a dust storm near the border town of Spinboldak, Afghanistan, Friday, Feb. 15, 2002. The Gypsies, known in Afghanistan as Kochi, are crowding into camps that international aid agencies have erected on the border with Pakistan near the crossing of Spinboldak, said Gul Mohammed, a project director for Mercy Corps. The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees estimates that 55,000 people at one Spinboldak camp are Kochi. (AP Photo/Gregory Bull)

Grins.

Any idea what desert this is?

Cool picture though. I'm becoming way too obsessed with taking pictures of the sun [just got a digital camera, weeeee].

Dust storms in Afghanistan

CNN reporter Martin Savidge is writing an interesting series of behind the scenes articles about reporting from Afghanistan.

In his Day 14 article, he describes the constant dust to be like pouring bags of sand or flour over your head.

Welcome to the Cellar, Hex Angel

Great photography, yours is!

I think your Route 66 image would be a great post for you to make in the thread Cities > Other Cities > Road Trip! along with the story of your Route 66 road trip.

Looking forward to your future posts!

Wow! stunning.

I really like how in Hex's abstracted sandy edge image it messes with your sense of scale. How expansive.. or intimate...hmm.
