Air Tools

I broke down and got a compresser from Sears. Not sure about the kind of hose to buy? Goodyear, rubber or the blue vinyl. I think for the few tools I need can get the junk at Harbor store in Jackson and if breaks, just put in trash. I can borrow a paint rig, but might be junk. I understand about leaving rubber and plastic in the sun. Only tools I need at this time are a needle gun and chisel, something to remove old mortor from blocks.

The main thing you should pay attention to is the PSI rating on the hoses compared to what the compressor puts out at max.

Yep. Thanks I forgot about that little fact. :smack:

Darn, you had to go and tell him. That could have been an amusing story in a Three Stooges Engineering kind of way.

I doubt if he's running over 100 psi..... most any hose will handle that.

Flexibility is helpful, some of the plastic hoses are like pipe when you try to coil them.

Those plastic hoses that are made like a 4 to 6 inch diameter coil spring, look like a good idea...... but they get damaged easily and are only about a quarter inch I.D., which is too small for some tools.

If you are going to do any welding around them, rubber hoses stand up better. :smack:
