Hello, I'm Kozmique.
Someone on another board posted an IotD (the giant dead bunny doll) some time back and I've been drawn to this site ever since. I finally decided to join after I saw the picture of the cyclops kitten. My cat had one of those when I was about 13. In addition to the single eye it was outfitted with a long and toothy proboscis. I didn't think to take a picture at the time because I was too busy screaming and running to the other side of the house. Aaahhh.... memories.....

Welcome aboard - sounds as though you have the type of information that fits in well here. Look forward to exchanging views with you. Have a strange creature of a cat myself, but more in the laid-back sense than the scary one. As soon as I can find a way to transfer the picture off my totally useless phone to my PC I'll show you what I mean.

ARRrrhh.......maybe not, matey. Yea never know when some blaggard's gonna put a shot through your sails. Best not put off shivering your timber and splitting the booty. ;)

Um, the booty is already split. It comes that way out of the wrapper.

then you need a bigger wrapper. It'll avoid the camel toe problem too.

While we're on to ships - anyone remember any of the verses to the Rugby song/poem 'The good ship 'Venus'??

I can remember a couple:

The opening one is:

'Twas on the good ship Venus
By God you should have seen us,
The figurehead
Was a Whore in bed
The mast an erected penis

And the other one I remember:

The first mates name was Carter
By God he was a farter
When the wind didn't blow
And the ship wouldn't go,
Then Carter the farter would start her

Similary verses to rugby versions of 'The Mayor of Bayswater', 'Immobile', and 'These Foolish Things' would also be welcomed

Rugby fans are clearly more literate and talented than American Football fans, who can sometimes manage to shout "you suck" in unison.

(In every other city in the US this is yelled at the opposing team. In Philadelphia, this is yelled at the home team. Opposing teams get snowballs lobbed at their heads, and their fans get beat up and sent to the hospital.)

Welcome, Koz!

Managed to send the picture to another phone which is more user friendly so now have the picture on the PC - not so good quality - have blown up a bit which doesn't help either, but at least you get an idea how stressed Calvin the pussy is...

Let's be fair--"Dallas sucks!" is also popular in Philadelphia.

wolf 02-07-2006 01:15 PM

I hadn't heard that about you.

mrnoodle 02-07-2006 04:46 PM

roflcopter. thread over.

Thanks for the spirited welcome, I look forward to getting to know people here more.
I'm in a non-traditional pirate band, The Ben Gunn Society, and we actually got played on Dr. Demento for the last talk like a pirate day! We also performed at the Festival de Piratas in Portland 2 years ago and are planning to do it again this summer, when we're done recording our new CD. Here's the link to our site, where you can hear some songs off our first album. www.bengunnsociety.com

That makes you royalty as far as I'm concerned.
