Anyone want a collection of 78s?
 

I bought a bunch of records at a farm sale a week ago and now, I am feeling a little overwhelmed about the whole thing. I have almost 100 or so 78s, now that I have no idea what to do with. Would anyone be interested in them? I don't really have the time or the inclination to go through each one and figure out what they are worth, but I think some of them may be worth something...Once is Elvis Presley "Love me Tender" in near mint condition, there are a few other Elvis ones, there are a lot of Decca and some other titles, like RCA Victor, Imperial, Dot, Columbia. All of these records seem to be from the late 40s to mid 50s. Other artists include Pat Boone, Les Paul, The Platters, Doris Day, and a bunch of others that I don't know anything about. Please let me know if anyone is interested. I will probably list them on Ebay, if nobody wants them.

Not that this person has any hits, but here is someone selling a Love Me Tender 78 in really crappy condition for $25.

I would take the time to go through the collection.

I think I am just going to sell the lot of them on Ebay and see what happens. I know some of them could be worth something, but I don't (really don't) have the time to worry about each one. If a record enthusiast manages to catch my lot, he/she will know if it is a good deal.

Okay, sent the guy an email, but his site tells me he specializes in 45s, so I dunno if he will care much about 78s. Anyway, I am gonna see what he says first. :)

I've got a friend who collects Victrola type players and 78s. I suspect he'd appreciate them.

Okay, here is the list. I tried to assess the condition of each one. The excellent or near mint ones have no scratches (even the tiny ones) and The very good and good ones will have a few scratches to many. Those records will still be playable. The Fair records are the ones that are probably not very playable, but are not broken.
