inspired by UT's post of St Marcos flooding, i am posting a shot from Zhou Zhuang (pronounced Joe Zwaang), aka the Venice of China - this is about 1.5 hours by bus from shanghai (where i live).

well techincally it is still in shanghai, but it just takes awhile to get there...anyways...here is a shot from it....

Every time I see one of these flood pics I keep thinking I should hunt down a picture from the Grand Forks flood. You can still see watermarks on many of the building downtown, and the empty lots along the river are positivly creepy.

That sounds like the Flood of '93 in St. Louis. My parents live near where most of the damage occurred. Most of the area is parkland now...and on some streets, the house damage was hit and miss.
