This sort of high-risk feat, now referred to as skywalking, appears to be a popular trend amongst Russian youths today. On the internet, we're all really blown away and grateful for the exciting images that result from their laborious and dangerous efforts, but city officials are not nearly as keen to praise their stunts. The reward for the adventure-seeking youths lies in the glory of having accomplished their dangerous goal and living to share their experiences with us all.

Brilliant!

glatt 12-13-2012 09:02 PM

Terrifying!

BigV 12-13-2012 10:37 PM

No. Way.

Ever.

If they wanted to be real skywalkers, they should have lightsabers and be duelling up there. :D

I'd do stuff like that ... with a ROPE! Otherwise, the penalty for a small mistake would be death. No thanks.

But, a lot of young folks, especially young males, do stuff like this, and I think most of them live. Somehow.

Ibby 12-14-2012 12:02 AM

To be fair, my understanding is that they don't generally scale the entire building, they usually break in or sneak in and take the stairs to the roof, then they climb whatever's on the roof. I'd feel a lot safer climbing the riggings and such on the roof than i would, say, bungee jumping or skydiving or something much more common

Nope, that just makes me feel sick.
I can't even admire their courage because I'm too busy backing away from the screen in fright.

Urgh.

There have been studies and stuff that prove, scientifically, that young males are stupid.

I don't need studies and stuff. I HAVE two young males who resemble that remark.

Also-do they have socialized medicine over there in Russia? B/c some day somebody's gonna fall.

I remember some damn Oprah show where these two thrill seekers were on to mourn the loss of their friend who did stuff like raft some huge, dangerous river in Africa. On one journey, they were there with him, he hit a rapid and they heard him say "OH my god!" and an alligator took him under. In one gulp. I mean they KNEW alligators and hippos were in there!

Then there are those people who jump from mountaintops wearing skysuits.

Why do they DO that? They could be safe at home, doing drugs ffs!
