Mar 21, 2010: ASL

ASL, American Sign Language, depicted here by JK Keller with book matches.

This was an art project, rather than a teaching aid, by a man with time, and 24 other letters, on his hands. ;)

I am going to send this to someone. Nice find bruce.

Very nice.

But looks like you can't do the sign for 'fire' with a matchbook...oh the irony.

xoxoxoBruce 03-21-2010 12:46 AM

I believe its just the alphabet, isn't it?

bluecuracao 03-21-2010 01:05 AM

Well, the video I saw on the interwebs shows it as a hand-waving type thing.

xoxoxoBruce 03-21-2010 03:51 AM

Yes, but what he did with the matchbooks is just the alphabet, there's much more to ASL.

I remember a trick one could do with Pep Boys matchbooks. NSFW, though.
