Holy..... just wow....

*Scrambles around doing research to figure this out*

The paintings on the site are what I would expect from an elephant. They are nothing like an actual picture. Don't get me wrong, they're still cool...but did the elephant really paint an elephant holding a flower?

jeaaa! watch the video!!!

Shawnee123 03-28-2008 01:27 PM

I DID watch the video! Did you look at the gallery on the website? That picture is not on that page, and there are none that look remotely like a picture of something real. They are more of the abstract brightly colored lines paintings.

I call BS on the video. The webpage is obviously legit, but I don't believe an elephant can paint an actual object.

I looked around and it looks as though there is an elephant who can paint that one painting of an elephant: his trainer taught him the strokes. NOW it makes sense to me. Obviously the paintings on the site and that video are not really related.

Not that anyone cares, except me I guess. I worry about the artistic integrity of large beasts. That's just me. ;)

I think you're looking for the Hemmingway thread.

Well, saline, takes me away to where I've always heard it should be.

This is OUR artistic elephant (pic via the BBC)
If the light wasn't failing I'd go and photograph it in the work yard for ya.

Just wandered in from Ele-Vision, and after watching that video, I don't care if it's just a trained elephant learned by rote routine, It's amazing. And the elephant seems anxious to get started. Good find Fresh.
