It's today in the UK.
Not officially, just that a third of schools are closed due to a teacher's strike.

Sadly everyone here has found alternate cover.
I was going to use it as an excuse to bring Dylan in.

I'm pushing for Bring Your Dog To Work Day.

Actually I brought Dyl in and showed him round last night. I had to come back here because I'd left something in the fridge and he wanted to follow me. He met quite a few of the team and behaved impeccably.

Is there a "Take your sex slave dressed as a schoolboy" day?

At my old gig the science librarian would regularly bring her dog along with her to work. He was a very friendly, happy mastiff (the dog, not the librarian). You ran the risk of leg injuries from being batted by his wagging tail if you weren't careful.

I thought that was every day! :ymca:
(I'm disappointed the "ymca" smilie only has one person!!)

I think at Iams in Dayton you can bring your pets to work.

I was just telling a friend whose daughter may move up here with him that I'd like to bring her in here one day, maybe take a half day or something, and just let her hang out and meet people. She's a great kid (pre-teen) and her mom is a crack ho of sorts. I'd love to help get her on the right track, get her interested in her future education, etc.

I'm gonna see if my company will go for it. My daughter's 1st b'day is coming up next month. I can't believe it's already been a year. It feels like a week since my wife was pregnant.

When is your take your AK-47 to work day? We had ours this week.

Happy Monkey 04-24-2008 06:00 PM

I taught a cow orker's kid how to make a mantid out of a plastic bottle lid loop and some paper clips.

Shawnee123 04-25-2008 08:54 AM

In this environment, people bring their kids in all the time. I have some great little buddies around here. It's really a great perk. When my cow orker brings her 9 month old daughter in we have a blast, fighting over who gets her next!

Sundae 04-25-2008 09:26 AM

I would love it, I admit.
I love to see how the recipe turns out.

I moan and moan about badly behaved children, but just because I don't want any of my own (badly behaved or otherwise) doesn't mean I don't adore them.
