These guys are recyclers, trash pickers or thieves, depending on your point of view.

Born respectively in 1954 and 1958, photographers Bruno Mouron and Pascal Rostain met while working for Paris Match. They soon became inseparable, signing their photos together and they still work together today. Specialising in celebrities, they are experts in the hideouts and tracking of celebrities, with, for instance, among their ‘hunting trophies’ the first photo published of President François Mitterrand in the company of his natural daughter, Mazarine.

In 1986, they created their own press agency, Sphinx, but soon grew tired of the managerial role and its accompanying paperwork and preferred to return to the field. In 1988, they read an article in Le Monde about a study dedicated to the analysis of trash cans for understanding social behaviour. That gave them the idea of doing the same thing with the trash cans of French then international stars.

This project, entitled TRASH, was to tour the world and was even presented at the Milan Universal Expo in 2015. It continues to this day and has branched into anonymous trash cans all over the world, delivering an edifying testimony to consumerist society.

Have to keep in mind these celebrities and rich people all have staff, cook, housekeeper, maid, bodyguards, and might not have
generated or even seen any of that trash.

I'm bemused by Madonna's lack of brand loyalty when it comes to bottled water. Compare, for example, to Mick Jagger, who clearly buys it by the case like a rational human being. Madonna's looks like she's picking up free water every time she takes a meeting, or sending an assistant to get random bottles on a whim wherever she happens to be.

Two things I see:
1) Pepsi was a big sponsor of Michael Jackson. You can see the little Pepsi can. But notice his large Coca Cola bottle!
2) What's with the bra in Ronald Reagan's photo?

I can't get high enough resolution to see what booze Nicholson likes.

Mick Jagger and Madonna both shred their papers. They know people are digging through their trash.
