Have any game suggestions for xbox?

I don't particularly care for simple fighting/shooter games (but I do love the James Bond series). I like storys and missions and searching for stuff, not just shooting and fighting. I rented Assassins Creed Brotherhood and loved it...will definitely buy it. I have also played Wolfenstein and loved that as well. Im playing Halo reach now and so far I am disappointed. It really is just too boring to only have to run around and shoot aliens, however it could be that I just haven't given it enough time,...maybe it gets better. There are so many games out there and it is hard to know if they are like Wolfenstein or like Halo, unless I play them.

Any suggestions?

I don't have an XBox, but I've heard good stuff about the Mass Effect series.

I've liked Fallout 3/New Vegas on the PC.

Mass Effect would be a great series to get into. Borderlands is an rpg/shooter with a very cool storyline and tons of fun missions.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will rent them to check them out.

I rented Mass Effect 2. That is one awesome game. I still like Assassin best, just for variety alone, but Mass Effect has a good story line and it is pretty fun. It goes on my buy list. I saw borderlands at the video store and will check it out next.

Anyone tried Red Dead Redemption?

My husband is playing it right now as I type. I have to return it after he goes to bed, but it is on our need to buy list. The voice acting is absolutely amazing.

Red Dead Revolver was cool. I hear Redemption kicks ass.

ETA: Prince of Persia? God of War?

If you like puzzles and shit, try The Da Vinci Code.

Obscure was good, don't know about X-Box availability.

The game play is wonderful. The environments are amazing until you get to Mexico (about half-way through the main story arc). It's still cool there, but not quite as polished.

There are a lot of reasons Mexico isn't as polished, but mostly mismanagement at Rockstar. At least according to an ex-employee in the art department.

Anyway, it's a lot like Grand Theft Auto, but in a setting I like better. The old west and cowboys are better than "gangsters" any day.

Now this thread is perfect for me: I pick most of my games based on whether or not they've got a good story behind them.
For Nintendo, I favor the Legend of Zelda & Resident Evil series. They've both got good gameplay (though RE takes some getting used to), and the stories are well integrated and superbly written. I've played a number of Mario games, but they generally don't have much to keep my attention for too long.
On Xbox, I've got:
the first 2 Assassin's Creed games (good choice, by the way)
the 2 Mass Effect games currently out
Overlord 1&2 (there's actually some pretty impressive morality themes involved)
KOTOR 1&2 - gameplay is kinda weird, actually, but the stories are pretty good
All the Halo games by Bungie. Don't bother with the RTS, it's a disappointing attempt.
&, yeah, I can see why you're disappointed with Reach. It isn't going to be nearly so good without the first 3 laying the foundation. I'd suggest going to a used game store or somewhere and getting a copy of the original. The graphics are downright primitive by comparison, but the story is actually what got me to take on my first shooter game (I hated them before that). The story work in 1, 2, and 3 are sheer brilliance - well written on so many levels that you'll be amazed. If you don't like #1 after all, you won't be out much money, so it's the safe bet.
Force Unleashed has a pretty good story, too, but the sequel is lacking in that department almost as much as in quality gameplay. Translation, the first one is worth looking at, but don't even bother with the second.

I can't actually remember offhand what else I've got in my game library, because I don't have them handy.
In any case, you've certainly chosen the right criteria on which to base your selections.:thumb:

So, my mom's husband turned 65 yesterday, and she got him the Xbox 360 with Kinnect. I set it up for them last night. I gave him 4 WWII games.

Watching them try to fly the airplanes was the most frustrating, funny, and enjoyable things I've done all week. I can't wait to try the Kinnect thing, but it had to update right away and was taking for evah.

I have neglected the Xbox for the last month, was visiting my Mom in Tucson. But now that Im back, I've been thinking about getting a dance game for the Kinnect. Time to start losing those winter pounds. The four games that come with it get pretty boring pretty fast, but two of them do get your heart rate up nicely.

The Resident evils were great on the xbox

I liked call of duty world at war
