B'eating A'round the B'ush

Beat'in round the Bush
Beat'in round the Bush
Beat'in round the Bush

Make your lips go shhs
Make your lips go shhs
Make your lips go shhs

I don't have nothing,
Better to do,
That's why I'm picking on you
I'll stop when you go Boohoo

What the- I don't even--

From time to time, throwing out an unfinished poem for others to continue it is an interesting little experiment/fun thing to do.

But I really would like to see a poem finished. Because that is where the craft of poetry lies.

Finishing a poem is difficult.

If I make it back to school the first thing I will do is take a class in reading and math.. hopefully that will expand my horizons to the point where I'm a better writer...

Pretty much you just add the words "The End," just to make it clear. It's not like music where you have to do stuff like establish a sub-dominant-dominant-tonic cadence or anything.

ZenGum 03-27-2012 05:33 PM

Or you could just write "the nun fainted". ;)

Getgo 03-27-2012 05:35 PM

That cheered me up. Thanks.

You're right it's not like music. But just adding 'the end' does not an ending make.

Personally, I find starting poems very easy. Finishing them can be a bitch.

some reason this thread title reminds me of cunnilingus

cunnilingus
what's that??

ZenGum 03-27-2012 07:02 PM

The application of the lingus (tounge) to the cunare (literally, wedge, signifying the vagina).

Clodfobble 03-27-2012 07:09 PM

Learn something new every day. I'll never look at the word "cuneiform" the same way again.

JBKlyde 03-27-2012 07:10 PM

not at all what i meant..

it was a recycled thought of the after math of the bush administration war in iraq/b'ab'elon.. yes the sexual sensitivity of sadom was rampit but i'm over it..

jimhelm 03-27-2012 07:17 PM

your use of apostrophes is most perplexing.

The way you use them in your poetry....what does an apostrophe do? How are you using them? I'm not being smart. I'm actually curious. do you just think they look cool?
