UK tries to block child porn album cover

Old album cover with naked [underage] girl censored
The difficulties of censorship across borders on the Internet. If they're arresting people for viewing this image, I guess I better pack my toothbrush. (The image is described, but not displayed, in the linked article.)

I was not familiar with it, so I looked it up - Here is a link to the image -

Fancy that, the censors work on it, which only works to enhance its value. Must be really Scorpions fans.

Don't they learn from the Beatles' baby butcher cover of 'Yesterday...and Today'? It's now one of their most valuable albums.

Sorry about raising a thread from the dead, but I haven't been here for a while.

That story isn't on Steve's link anymore, but this one is...
Quote:

INTERNET FILTERING mandated by the Australian government will block all peer-to-peer (P2P) and Bit Torrent traffic, an Australian news site reports today.

Broadband Minister Stephen Conroy posted word on his department's bog that filtering P2P and Bit Torrent file transfers will be tested by ISPs in the pilot trial scheduled to begin soon.

Conroy wrote, "Technology that filters peer-to-peer and Bit Torrent traffic does exist and it is anticipated that the effectiveness of this will be tested in the live pilot trial."

The government initially proposed that its filtering would block only child pornography and 'terrorist' websites, in typical authoritarian appeals to 'save the children' and 'keep us safe'.
