Vote? Where's the poll?
|
I can tell you my least favorite: The Incredible Hulk. Awful and disturbing.

well, I almost named Transformers as my fave, but--are the Autobots "super heroes"?
|
I think Batman has had the best movies.
or The Incredibles. They're freakin' awesome. I still have this mental image of LJ running around dressed as Mr Incredible though. Kind of disturbing really. |
Batman has also had some of the worst. Think--Penguin. (shudders).
Superman is my favorite superhero, but none of the movies has lived up to the ideal. |
Superhero movies come in so many different epochs, its hard to pick just one, because the advent of CG and the fact that they keep getting better and better at weaving plot and gee-whiz together means that they probably haven't even made my fave yet.
That said, I will always be partial to the first Superman movie w/Christopher Reeve. He was so perfect in the part. I can even forgive the godawful poetry Lois read. Transformers was totally awesome, and yes, it is a superhero movie. X-Men #1 was stupendous as well, as was Spiderman 1. |
IMO, Superman 3 was just stupid, and Superman 4 was terrible. Superman Returns was quite enjoyable. The plot coulda used some work tho.
I liked all 3 X-Men movies, although I thought 3 was better than 2, but 1 was the best. All 3 Spiderman movies were great. Transformers 2007? FTWMFW x 10!!!!!!!!!!! |

Superman.....Tom Wellings...
or George Clooney...Batman.... I'll go Superman...jox on the outside n all that. |
I was going to mention dear Tom, but--it says "movie"! But, you know I'm all about the Clex.
None of the screen Supes (dearTom included) have really been big or beefy enough to fit the image I have of Superman. |
ooh, I forgot about Wolverine!

he was? (shocked that I missed that!) -- I don't even think I remember him as batman--who was his adversary?

X-Men gets my vote for best film version supers.
I keep hoping for a good Superman film but so far, nada. I thought Christopher Reeves was a good Superman but a joke as Clark Kent. And just the opposite for the new guy. Good Clark; lousy Supe. |
Drax, does that mean you like the Transformers movie or not?

For The Mother Fuckin' Win.
|
Watchmen is my favorite, but that could easily change when it actually comes out.
|
Power Dyke and Lipstick Lesbian Save the World.
We are counting porn, right?:p BTW, this is probably a joke, although considering the large number of titles out there, you never know. |
Does Aeon Flux count? That was pretty good...
|
Orgazmo
|
Batman
I like the Adam West/Burt Ward movie best, but did think the first one with Michael Keaton was very cool. |
Haha...this was supposed to be a poll thread, but I got interupted while creating a list of 12 Superhero movies. I didn't even realize this thread was actually created. Nice to see it had some legs though.
I loved Iron Man. And Superman II (the Richard Donner revised version). Those may be my two favorite superhero movies. |
Iron man was good. Have to see if it withstands the test of time.
Batman--the one with Christian Bale, was also pretty good. |
OOH. I forgot about Christian Bale. I take it back--Trey Parker is a funny funny man, but nothing beats Christian Bale. Batman Begins it is.
|
what? no one picked Toxic Avenger?
|
Batman Begins
Ironman Spiderman 3 |
|
I loved the first Batman movie. But my favourite is 'Constantine'
|
Spiderman 1 and 2
Batman Begins I have not seen Iron Man. |
Watchmen
Which needs it's own thread, so I'm off to do that. |
Well, shit. Since Wolf's raving about Watchmen, I guess I'll have to see it now.
FWIW, Ironman has overtaken my #1 spot for best superhero film. |
Iron Man
Haven't seen Watchmen. |
|
hehee
I had forgotten that fokker. |

I can't say I've really liked many "Super heroes" that have been made into movies, the films mostly fall into the trap are they made for kids or adults ,which is a shame because there is a market out there for grown up stories.
When i was a kid we had hundreds of DC and marvel comics my favorite was this guy |
Not to be confused with The Green Hornet.
|
.. or the green gremlin
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_37veR2owTy...0/Gremlin1.jpg Now there is an embarrassing car - oops wrong thread |
Caveat: I haven't seen the Watchmen.
I like the Keaton/Nicholson Batman, they are both great at playing insane genuisesseses, plus I like the more comic book visual style. I find the new ones are not fantastatical enough, which I'm sure is the idea, but it becomes a bit more James Bond, than comic book. i though Iron man was only so so, but I wonder if that's becasue I saw it on a small screen, the Lord of the Rings movies aren't so impressive on a 27" TV. Does The Fifth Element count, Leloo does save the world. |
Flash Gordon! Well, Flash wasn't really a superhero, but it's along the same lines.
|
"Flash, Flash I LOVE you but we've only got fourteen hours to save the Earth!"

I used to watch Flash every Sunday morning. Amazing how often that woman fainted. I bet she got so heartily sick of delivering that line:
"Oh!....Flash!" faints away into Flash's arms at the first sight of a mud man... |
I don't remember the tv series. The movie came out in 1980, so I was a freshman or sophomore in HS. Yeah, we loved it!
|
Oh the series was way before my time. But it was syndicated and was one of the regular sunday morning progs. Cheap programming for a low audience time.
|
Oh, this one? I bet it's pretty entertaining: Oh Flash, indeed! :)
Flash Gordon (1954-55) Main article: Flash Gordon (1954 TV series) Steve Holland starred in a 1954-1955 live-action TV series which ran for 39 episodes. The series had the distinction of being filmed in West Berlin, less than a decade after the end of World War II. It was recut into a movie in 1957. In this series, Flash, Dale, and Dr. Zarkov worked for the Galaxy Bureau of Investigation, approximately 1200 years in the future. The actual timeline was established in one episode, "Deadline at Noon," in which Flash, Dale, and Dr. Zarkov went back in time to Berlin in the year 1953. |
It's fucking hysterical. An absolute must see. To be properly appreciated and respected it should be shown with appropriate accompaniments: popcorn (preferably homemade) and an ice cold glass of Dandelion and Burdoch. Failing that, beers and some mates.
|
omg...it is so available on DVD. I have to find a copy, or order one.
|
*grins* you'll love it.
