Feb 7, 2009: Fu Fu 8

This is a cat.
Well, a photograph of a cat, right?
http://cellar.org/2009/drawncat.jpg

Nope, it's a pencil drawing of a cat.

Paul Lung can be seen drawing it in this video.

Here's more at deviantART.

The government should get this guy to just draw our money then xerox it, to cut engraving/printing costs.

Two questions..

1) Why would someone waste talent like that on cats?:greenface

2) Money? What money? We ain't got no stinkin money!!:headshake

Lets see him draw a cheezburger to go with it.

Amazing skills though.

Cheezburger doesn't go with cat, sweet and sour sauce does.

Cheezburger goes fine if you break their little legs first.

Oh crap, I'm in trouble again.

hmm, this is clearly a cat nose, but not the one in the picture here. It's not this picture and he's not exactly speedy gonzalez with this skill. In fact you don't actually see him draw very much at all in the vid. Not impressed at this point.....

Stormieweather 02-07-2009 11:19 PM

Each picture takes between 30-40 hours to make, so I'd assume you wouldn't actually see a whole lot of progress in a mere 10 min vid. And I don't think the video is of him drawing Fu Fu 8. The blurb on the vid says it is to demonstrate how he draws fur.

I checked out his work at deviantART. It is outstanding, in my opinion.

SPUCK 02-08-2009 04:37 AM

What's that he's holding?!?! It looks like something that would come out of a cat...

classicman 02-08-2009 04:47 PM

A piece of charcoal

xoxoxoBruce 02-08-2009 09:57 PM

That's a woodless pencil. ;)

Leokins 02-09-2009 01:03 PM

He must have to be really careful in not smudging it, with all those really tiny finicky fur lines in 4B pencil one sleeve swipe could kill the kitties. Must be really patient too, most I could ever stand working on a drawing was 35 hours for an ink portrait with stippling, never doing that again :headshake

My brother can draw like that. He's an amazing artisit, but he became an engineer instead. *sigh*
