April 11, 2008: Piece of Tail

Sometimes the risks taken, for a piece of tail, seem crazy to objective bystanders.
But the adrenaline rush, for the risk taker, is it's own reward.;)

Don't let go!

Crow caught a Calico,
Don't let go, Crow!
Calico will kill, you know.

It might seem strangely poetic to search for a cool draught of water among the crows but I am pretty sure the cat's name is apropos.

I guess that is a common variety in Europe: Hooded Crow (Corvus cornix), but I've never seen one.
But it seems crows are crows the world around, bold and brash. Or maybe as Sundae Girl says, he's just helping.
Neat pic.

Maybe they are sorority sisters and the crow is holding the cat's tail back while she vomits.

Chinditz 04-11-2008 03:35 PM

Afterwards:

"Qouth the raven: "Nevermore""

He just wanted to touch the hem of the Jesus-cat's tail as he walked onto the surface of the lake to get a drink.

It's a pump handle - beware the splash coming out the business end of the pump any moment now.

must be One Thirsty Cat not to notice those birds!

xoxoxoBruce 04-13-2008 01:09 PM

Then again, those birds can be helpful.

It seems to me that the crow (not the cat) is the one on thin ice here...

rupip 04-15-2008 02:30 AM

the crow is a social worker and mr. cat is thinking about committing suicide.

the crow is just doing its job.... good bird
