Jan 19, 2011: Wally

I've read about several studies that came to the conclusion the number one annoying sound is a barking dog.
I have to agree with that, because as much as I love dogs, my neighbor had a German Shepard that would bark
for 5 or 6 hours at a time. It wasn't the dogs fault but that didn't make it any less annoying.

Anyway, someone in Palm Springs, CA, called about a barking dog, so they tracked it down. It turned out to be
Wally(not his real name), trapped between a house foundation, and a wall that belongs to the water company.

As you can see they had to get the water company to bust the wall to get him out. That's why they named him wally.
They fed him, "a bean and cheese burrito". Maybe if they'd given Wally the bean burrito first, he'd have propelled himself out. ;)

Poor fella.

Recipes?

Griff 01-19-2011 05:59 AM

The recipe depends on whether he went in there for squirrel or cat... but the bean burrito confuses the issue more.

Nono. The article is simply confusing itself.

They didn't feed the DOG a "bean and cheese burrito."

They fed the rescue workers a bean and cheese burrito...

The meat part, of said burrito? Why, the dog, of course!

The article provided us with a recipe, but through poor translation, or poor writing skills, left it hidden.

Imagine the stink if they hadn't found him.

The cat was there for the squirrel, the dog was there for the cat. It's nature's version of the tur-duck-en. Call it the squir-cat-og.

Poor baby.

I hope some nice people adopt him. :(

Then they'd have named him "stinky"

What do you do with a dog that has no legs?

Take him out for a drag.

monster gets a time out.

Shawnee123 01-21-2011 09:44 AM

You know what I'd do if I had a dog that looked like you?

Shave its butt and teach it to walk backwards.

Extrication would have been easier, though.

Silver linings, that's me.
