9/17/2003: World Mudbowl Championships
http://cellar.org/2003/mudbowl.jpg
Happy Wednesday! This is a shot from the World Mudbowl Championships, which took place recently in North Conway, New Hampshire. Eight New England teams fought to win the bowl which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. It's "two-hand touch" American football. For our worldly visitors, this is the same as the regular game, except that you officially stop the ball carrier if you touch him with both hands. As opposed to tackling the ball carrier, where you bring him to the ground completely. In the mud it doesn't look like there's much difference... Silly New Englanders. How can it be the WORLD championship when they're all from this little patch of the world? |
That's not mud. It's liquid feces.
|
shirts vs. skins?:(

Looks more like they are playing "Get as dirty as possible"... which sounds rather fun, actually... |
That is a very cool photograph.
|
You're right there, warch. That's one in a million.
It's the World championships because non-New Englanders are naturally inferior. Therefore the best N.E. team IS the World champ. :D |
Not a sport I would ever participate in. Why does everything have to end up looking like "liquid Poo" dave? Why the fascination?
|
There's no fascination. It's the first time I've mentioned it. And the reason I did is because it was the subject of another IotD. And it wasn't "liquid Poo". It was liquid feces. If you're in any way offended, I recommend removing the bug from your ass.
|
Not offended dave, not at all. Also there's no bug up my ass just to set the record straight. :p
|
and by "bug", he actually means "liquid feces" ..
*cough*.. dave was actually referring to this enchanting thread from a few days ago: http://www.cellar.org/showthread.php?threadid=3960 |
